Accessibility statement
This accessibility statement applies to the Partners in Salford website (www.partnersinsalford.org).
This website is run by Salford City Council. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts
- zoom in up to 200% without the text spilling off the screen
- navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
- navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
- listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.
AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
How accessible is this website?
We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:
- Some downloadable documents (PDF/Word documents) aren’t fully accessible to screen reader software
- There are some links that do not meet minimum size or spacing requirements, this can make it difficult for some users to interact with them

Technical information about this website’s accessibility
Salford City Council is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
Compliance status
The website has been tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard.
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.
Non accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
Non compliance with the accessibility regulations
Some of our PDFs and Word documents don’t meet accessibility standards - for example, they may not be structured so they’re accessible to a screen reader. This does not meet WCAG 2.1 success criterion 4.1.2 (name, role value). We will work to ensure key new documents meet accessibility standards.
Some interactive elements do not meet minimum size nor spacing, this fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 2.5.8. Target Size Minimum. We are working to fix this issue by 15 November 2025.
Disproportionate burden
We have not identified anything that qualifies as disproportionate burden as of yet.
Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations
- Live and audio video - we do not plan to add captions to live video streams because live video is exempt from meeting the accessibility regulations.
- Online maps - we have added essential information in an accessible format like an address.
- Third-party content - content on social media sites that is under someone else's control.
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
We regularly review the accessibility of the site on an ongoing basis. We use this monitoring to identify and fix any new issues that arise.
