What's new?
- The first edition of Working Neighbourhood Team News (July 2009) is now available.This is a brief catch up for those involved (or about to be involved) in Working Neighbourhood Teams.

- How might working neighbourhood teams impact on the delivery of Salford's Local Area Agreement indicators? This document is an initial sift of LAA indicators whose outcomes working neighbourhood teams' activities MIGHT be able to influence directly or indirectly - working neighbourhood LAA indicators. This is very much work in progress - a first cut.
- This is the suggested format for a simple resident consultation at local events and festivals. Under question 5 the service offer would change. For example it should include SALT in Ordsall and Langworthy and the Broughton Trust in East Salford.

- The Common Assessment Framework for children and young people: practitioners' guide describes integrated working to improve outcomes for children and young people. Here is a blank CAF form. Children's Services Think Family project use cue cards to prompt workers to talk about issues they may be experiencing - this 'whole family' approach might be a useful for Working Neighbourhood Teams.
- Connexions uses a system called CAPIR to identify clients' strengths and the areas that need further development. The model uses a wheel shaped diagram supported with key questions which are structured in a way that allows the client and advisor to form a judgement about whether something is going well or needs further development/support. This framework informs the dialogue with client and identifies an individual's needs.
