Salford Welfare Rights & Debt Advice Service

Why not brush up on your benefits knowledge, debt advice skills or take the opportunity to increase your awareness of Muslim life?

The 2007-08 Welfare Rights and Debt Advice Service Programme starts this September with over 20 different courses for you to choose from, including abrand new course on benefits for EU migrant workers and their families.

All the courses are FREE for Salford City Council employees.

All are suitable for beginners, or for those who need a refresher or an update.

The courses are designed to provide accessible training for staff who are not expected to be welfare rights specialists, but who nevertheless come into contact with people who may be experiencing problems with their benefits and/or tax credits, or who have other financial difficulties.

Places book up quickly so don't delay in booking your place. Full details are now available on the website. You can book a place on a course using our online booking facility.

Raising Our Game

Raising Our Game (ROG) is a professional development programme for managers and other professionals with responsibility for creating and maintaining strong and prosperous communities.The programme developed by the North West Development Agency and the Academy for Sustainable Communities comprises a suite of short courses and professional qualifications for those working towards delivering sustainable communities.  ROG learning programmes are relevant to junior, middle and senior managers who have responsibility for leading, shaping and delivering sustainable development within a local, regional and national context.

There are new programmes starting in September 2007.
