Additional notes about roles
Salford Strategic Partnership (SSP) will
- Work with the city council to develop and deliver the Salford Agreement
- Provide strategic co-ordination, linking with plans and bodies at regional, sub-regional and local level and aligning activities within the framework of the Salford Agreement
- Scutinise the progress made by the SSP executive

Salford Strategic Partnership executive will
- Provide high level challenge and steer
- Enable partners and the city council as the accountable body to maintain an overview of the strategic direction of the Agreement
- Facilitate the commitment of resources to the development and implementation of the Agreement
- Use its authority and influence to resolve blockages
- Report to the strategic partnership on progress and any decisions needed
- Use performance management information to identify under performance against outcomes
- Hold partners to account for delivery (including delivery of the Agreement) through influence on each partner
- Identify activity to address priorities and encourage partner agencies to commission it
Strategic Partnership management group will
- Manage the development and delivery of the Agreement
- Ensure that organisational plans are aligned with partnerships' strategies and these are in turn aligned to the main SSP strategies such as the Community Plan and Salford Agreement.
- Using a single performance management framework, contribute to annual reports on progress in delivering the Community Plan and Salford Agreement to the SSP, SSP executive and Government Office, including a final year report on NRF investment (2007-08)
- Monitor pooled budgets spend and report quarterly to SSP executive and bi-annually to SSP.
