Charlestown and Lower Kersall New Deal for Communities Annual Report 2008/09

The Annual Report from the Charlestown and Lower Kersal New Deal for Communities (NDC) Partnership is now available to be downloaded from their website at http://www.chalk-ndc.info/index/how-are-we-doing/annual-report. Included with a look back at the Partnership's activities over the past year, are statistics and evidence mapping the progress made in this area over the 8 years that the NDC programme has been running, including how local residents have been involved, empowered and have changed their views on what the area is like as a place to live!

The NDC programme is a government funded, 10-year programme, which has operated in 39 neighbourhoods across the country since 2000. In Salford, the Charlestown and Lower Kersal funding will continue until March 2011, and plans are already being developed by the NDC together with key partner agencies, in order to sustain and build from the progress made.
