Salford Children and Young People's Trust
If you work with children, young people and families in Salford it's likely that 'Shaping Our City' will have some effect on you. We want children and young people to achieve their potential. Educators, health workers, volunteers, youth workers, social workers and emergency services all have their role to play. Find out more at www.partnersinsalford.org/shapingourcity025.
We are the City Partnership 'theme group' for children and young people.
- Senior responsibility in Salford for policy, strategy and achievement in services to children and young people.
- Established in April 2010.
- Replaced the Children and Young People's Strategic Partnership.
Our board includes senior people from relevant organisations. The Chair is Councillor Lisa Stone - Lead Member for Children's and Young People's Services.
We work alongside Salford Safeguarding Children Board (SSCB) and Salford's Health and Wellbeing Board. We have an agreement called the Safeguarding Children Compact.
Our priorities for 2018 are 0-25 Transformation and the Start Well section of the Locality Plan, Learning for Life (a joint priority with Salford Youth Council) and Voice of the Child.
