- To develop, promote and maintain the use of sustainable transport amongst all partner organisations and associate partners
- To seek to influence all other stakeholders or those who work in, travel to or live in Salford to consider more sustainable forms of transport
- To promote collaborative working on promotion of sustainable transport amongst all other partnerships within Salford

Organisation's key targets
- Promote sustainable transport
- Offer advice and assistance to those wishing to address this issue within their organisation
- Raise the profile of sustainable transport
- Develop a wide network of those involved in sustainable transport
- Support Salford City Council in its aims of developing a sustainable transport strategy
- Ensure Salford becomes cleaner, safer, and healthier through better use of sustainable transport and less use of the single occupancy private car
- Assist in addressing the requirements for social needs transport

Organisation's main activities in 2007
- Organising the Greater Manchester and Merseyside Transport Conference on 17th April 2007
- Launching new advice leaflets
- Holding six main meetings and supporting the city's Sustainable Transport Strategy when that is launched in April 2007
